The Competition
- We provide participating school teams with identical kits containing all materials and equipment necessary to construct a robot for the BEST competition, at no cost to the schools
- To participate, schools simply register with our Hub and attend our summer Teacher/Mentor Institute
- Teams can choose to compete for the BEST Award, which is presented to the team that best embodies the concept of Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology. See The BEST Award – General Rules
Competition Events – Kickoff, Practice Day and Game Day
- At Kickoff in early September the game rules and field are revealed to participating teams & teams are given materials for building their robots
- Practice Day in mid-October gives teams a chance to practice with their robots on the game field (5 weeks after Kickoff)
- Game Day Competition in late October (6 weeks after Kickoff)
